About Morten Strange
In 1986, Morten left his job as a petroleum engineer in Singapore to work with nature conservation; he has been involved in nature documentation, promotion and marketing ever since. He is now director of our associated company, Draco Publishing and Distribution Pte Ltd.
About Ng Bee Choo
Ever a kampong girl at heart, Bee Choo used to hang out at her aunt's kampong house during the school holidays when she was young. From collecting birds stamps as a teenager till joining the Malayan Nature Society in 1987, it was somewhat inevitable that she founded Nature's Niche in 1995 - at a time when Singapore lacked a specialise shop on nature books and souvenirs. She was the NNS bird group secretary 1990-1996 when she left to concentrate on Nature's Niche, first at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, later at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and since August 2008 at Orchidville off Mandai Road. In May 2009 Bee Choo embarked on a new adventure, opening the Sentosa Nature Shop (behind Butterfly Park near the Cable Car landing).
