This is the first general work devoted to smaller moths of the region where already 6,500 species are known. About 650 of those are described and illustrated here in line drawings and 32 colour plates, mainly representatives from families that are common, conspicuous or likely to be encountered. The useful introduction chapters deal with small moth biology, collection and study in general.
