This is the first modern field guide to cover Borneo since MacKinnon in 1993, and a revision has been long overdue. All the latest taxonomic changes have been considered, mainly following Robson (2008). 633 species are covered in details, including many new records and taxonomic splits. The number of island endemics have been increased from MacKinnon's 37 to now 50 full species. The 'feel' of the book is much like Robson; however, unlike Robson Myers has top quality illustrations and distribution maps inserted into the species text which works really well.
